Our Story: The 3 Commandments
The 3 Commandments isn’t just a clothing brand—it’s a legacy built on friendship, brotherhood, and the values that shape who we are.
The idea was born from the lifelong friendship of Kavan “Fudge” Layne and Tim Marlon Solomon, two high school friends. As they grew older, a phrase began to define the bond between Fudge and his closest circle of friends: Respect, Trust, Loyalty. It wasn’t just something they sad, it's was how they lived.
By 2021, Tim was ready to launch a clothing line Called The 3 Commandments—something meaningful that would represent real values and culture. When he approached Fudge with the idea, they spent time talking about what would guide the brand. The answer came naturally. The same three words they had carried with them for years would become the foundation: Respect. Trust. Loyalty.

These weren’t just “commandments”—they were a code. A way to honor relationships, move through life with integrity, and stay true to yourself. From the start, the vision was to build something deeper than fashion—something that could speak to people from all walks of life. The brand would need to reflect a universal message, one that connects with every demographic, regardless of age, background, or style.
In September 2024, tragedy struck. Fudge passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving behind a deep void in the lives of all who loved him.
While the loss was devastating, it made the mission even more personal for Tim. With the encouragement and support of friends and family, he made the decision to carry the dream forward—not just in memory of Fudge, but in celebration of everything he stood for.
Today, The 3 Commandments lives, on as a tribute to friendship, real values, and real legacy. Every collection is crafted with purpose and every design carries meaning. This brand is for those who live with intention. For those who value the people in their corner. For those who believe that Respect, Trust, and Loyalty still matter.
Rest in peace, Fudge. Your legacy lives on—Fam 4 Life and we’ll see you in a heartbeat.
